GRC Announces New Website and Take Action Now for GE and ATB campaigns

Good Day list servers,

On behalf of the GRC as well as our wonderful Staff, we are pleased to present our new GRC website. With the gracious assistance of Celsius Marketing, this website is complete with a current Newsfeed and Advocacy Portal (Action Center).

To access the site, please utilize the following URL: www.beautyschools.org/grc

On the home page you can read the latest government relations news as well as view the 2016 AACS webinars hosted so far this year. This is just the beginning, and we will be developing a more robust home page as we move into the future.

The other exciting update is the ‘Take Action Now’ green button. Clicking here will allow you access to the main components of our Take Action Now page.

‘Take Action Now’ page features:
First, you’ll always have easy access to your State and Federal legislators in the section called ‘Find My Legislators.’

In addition, there is a section called ‘Legislative Dashboard,’ and this is where you will find all of the various pieces of legislation that Tom Netting and your GRC team are tracking at any one time. In the near future, via various communications and future Webinars, we will guide you through how to track these topics and how to ‘add your voice’ so you can receive email communications in regards to the status of these bills.

Finally, and most importantly, you will see a box for each one of our current campaign’s. For now we have TWO important campaigns, one for GE and one for ATB. box titled ‘ATB – H.R. 4158 CO-Sponsors.’ Much like our old call to action center, with just a few clicks of your mouse, you can send your support for this legislation to all of your members of Congress.

This is the piece of legislation we would like you to act upon at this time.

As other bills/campaigns are introduced, we will continue to reach out for your support or opposition. We will always guide you through the campaign participation process, and you will always see a new box for the campaigns that are open to participate in. Your participation in future campaigns via the ‘Take Action Now’ page will be critical in the upcoming months as we continue to work towards delaying the GE regulations. Thank you in advance for your support.

Finally, wish to thank Celsius Marketing again for their incredible support of the Government Relations Committee. Over the next few months, our friends at Celsius will be building a permanent and more robust web presence that will encapsulate a panoply of communication vehicles for our membership.

In closing, I wish to thank our Staff, Kristie, Tom and Celsius Marketing for their continued service to our membership.

Yours truly,

Greg Jones
