On March 17, 2015, two such hearings took place as House Education and the Workforce - Higher Education and Workforce Training Subcommittee Chair Virginia Foxx presided over a morning hearing entitled, "Strengthening America's Higher Education System" and House Veteran's Affairs – Human Resources Subcommittee Chair Brad Wenstrup controlled the gavel for an afternoon hearing entitled, "A Review of Higher Education Opportunities for the Newest Generation of Veterans."

On March 18, 2015, the Full House Education and the Workforce Committee, Chaired by Rep. John Kline, focused on the U.S. Department of Labor's FY16 Budget Proposal.
