Congressman John Joyce (R - PA) attended a recent open house at Altoona Beauty School. While touring the facility with one of his aides, he had a chance to observe a student giving a manicure, and learned of the opportunities offered to students through nail technology, esthetician, cosmetology, and teacher training programs. Rep. Joyce spoke with students, most of whom already have employment before graduation. He saw the real demand in our beauty industry for quality trained graduates and appreciated that the school assists students with job placement.
