Educator of the Year Award

The N.F. Cimaglia Educator of the Year Award is a prestigious award given to one educator each year who has exhibited the most significant contribution toward upgrading professional standards of educational excellence, particularly within the areas of student involvement. Nominate a deserving educator today—maybe even yourself! 

Eligibility Criteria:

Nominees must be active members of CEA who are currently employed.

At least three (3) years of active employment as a cosmetology educator and can provide evidence of significant contributions to educational excellence during the immediate past year.  

While Milady is proud to be the primary sponsor of this award, it is not required for nominees to teach using Milady-based curriculum in their school. ALL INSTRUCTORS from ALL SCHOOLS are welcome to apply as long as they meet the criteria. Please emphasize this as there are some dynamite educators teaching other curriculums and we want to choose the very best educator.  

We have streamlined the application process - it is now online completely.  The old process was fillable but then had to be printed and mailed in.  This new process can be done completely online (including video submissions if needed) and can be done in parts (fill out the easy sections then save the rest for later by clicking “save and continue later”).  Reminder emails will be sent to those that have started the application and not finished it. 

Deadline is May 1, 2019 and award announced the middle of May.  Award presentation ceremony during CEA!
