Hour Reduction Bills Introduced in Texas, Rhode Island and Florida

The first week of March finds 44 state legislatures actively meeting – including Alabama and Florida which commenced their respective 2019 legislative sessions on Tuesday. On Friday, West Virginia’s legislature will become the third to adjourn in 2019.
Key state legislative deadlines occurring this week include: a bill introduction deadline in Texas on Friday; and crossover deadlines in Hawaii and Georgia by which bills need to be passed by their legislative chamber of origin in order to remain viable.
