Legislative Sessions Kick-Off in 33 States

Welcome to 2019 and the resumption of weekly AACS State Relations Updates. Between now and April, all 50 states will be convening a legislative session. In many cases, there will be new participants involved in state policymaking as voters elected nearly 1,700 new state legislators – about 23% of the nation’s legislative seats – and 20 new governors in November.
The first full week of January finds 33 state legislatures in session. As always, AACS keep you apprised of the latest state legislative developments of interest to member schools.
