Before the end of the month, AACS expects the U.S. Department of Education to publish the Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs), detailing revisions to the Borrower Defense to Repayment and Gainful Employment regulations. To prepare for the release of these proposals and the public comment period to follow, the AACS GRC team would like to share with you the preparation and planning that has taken place behind the scenes before the pending publication of the NPRMs. AACS would also like to provide you the timeline of how we plan to review, analyze, and provide summaries of our recommendations in response to the proposals.
We hope that you will join us in submitting responses through a future Call to Action, which will include one or more institutions, students, graduates, employers, and third-party submissions based upon the templates that AACS will provide to assist you.
