BOMA members spoke and Energy Trust Existing Buildings listened. Recently, some BOMA members said they are unable to budget for 2015 projects under Energy Trust’s standard incentives during their October – December 2014 budget process. Since new incentives and incentive levels go into effect on Jan. 1 of each new year, the issue, they said, is the uncertainty that these incentives will be available, and at the same incentive levels, in the coming year when they are ready to purchase or install items such as HVAC, boilers, insulation, foodservice equipment, PC power management equipment and other standard energy-efficiency measures.
