The Design Commission, authorized under Portland City Code 33.710.050, provides leadership and expertise on urban design and architecture and on maintaining and enhancing Portland's historical and architectural heritage. The Design Commission consists of seven members, none of whom may hold public elective office.
 
Small Premium Projects (SPP)
The Oregon Department of Energy will accept Informational Filings for Small Premium Projects from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. The State has approximately $1 million in tax credits available for these projects.
 
The Oregon Department of Energy will hold a public hearing on July 23 to receive comments on draft rules for the Energy Incentives Program fees. The rulemaking hearing will begin at 2:30 p.m. at ODOE’s main office in Salem, 625 Marion St.

What is IPMS?
International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS) address current inconsistencies in the way property is measured around the world by introducing an internationally recognized standard for measuring space. BOMA International is working in partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to provide training on this exciting new change to global standards.

The Home Depot now offers a national rebate incentive program for BOMA members. Enroll in the program and receive a 2 percent annual rebate on all qualifying pre-tax purchases (a qualifying purchase is any pre-tax purchase on a registered account). There is no cost to enroll. You can register any form of payment accepted by The Home Depot, including checking accounts, credit cards, debit cards and The Home Depot accounts. Beginning March 1, 2014, annual purchases must total a minimum of $10,000 to qualify for the rebate.
 
Allied Member dues run August 1-July 31. Invoices were sent out via email last week and are now due. Please check your inbox and/or your junk mail folders to ensure that you have received your invoice. If you didn't receive it, please contact Linda at linda@bomaoregon.org.
