Commercial real estate companies looking for direction in a complex and evolving market look to us. That’s why BOMA International is the GPS of CRE. Whether we’re fighting for the industry’s interests at the federal, state and local level, saving the industry billions through building code victories or driving high performance through our award-winning programs, BOMA is the go-to resource for CRE professionals.

Did you know: Less than 50 percent of building-level annual total return is due to macroeconomic factors and property markets cycles. In fact, 53 percent of annual return is due to changing features of or around the individual property. Which means strong asset management is critical to portfolio success; and that's what BOMA does best.

From skyscrapers and schools to hospitals and homes, America's buildings are the foundations of our communities. When disasters strike, we rely on the structural integrity of our buildings to keep us safe. This month, we pay tribute to the innovative professionals who implement our safety standards, and we redouble our efforts to make our buildings as resilient as our people.

As always, a number of the proposed budgets will significantly impact BOMA members. Here are just a couple examples:

Portland Bureau of Environmental Services and the Proposed Budget and System Development Charges:
The proposed budget will result in a bill increase of approximately 3.6 percent for the typical family household, and the proposed SDC fees are increasing by 18 percent.

Portland Water Bureau: The proposed budget supports the bureau request to increase rates by 7.0 percent for the typical single family household.

For details on these and other proposed city budgets, check out the attached report:
