Representing our members' 43 million square feet of commercial office space, BOMA is being heard — serving on the PBOT Transportation User Fee Business Workgroup. Our task is to advise Mayor Hales, Commissioner Novick and PBOT on how to refine the non-residential portion of the Transportation User Fee to minimize negative impacts to the business community.

The meetings have been interesting, the discussions lively (to say the least). Although we have not come to a consensus on a possible funding mechanism, the most recent meeting focused on designing a business and residential flat fee.

Thanks to members' support, to date the BOMAPAC has contributed more than $25,000 to candidates throughout Oregon.
