The City Energy Efficiency Scorecard ranks 34 of the most populous US Cities on their policies and other actions to advance energy efficiency. Boston achieved the highest score overall, 76.75 out of a possible 100. PORTLAND ranked second, with an overall score of 70!

It should be noted that while Boston's energy efficiency activities are, for the most part, mandated, Portland is second on the list and our energy efficiency activities are VOLUNTARY!

Portland scored highest in transportation and local government operations!
