BOMA BC Advocacy:

Permitting delays are a challenge for BOMA BC members, as it affects businesses, building owners, and property managers’ ability to operate their facilities. Improving the Fire Sprinkler Permit process is important to our members, and BOMA BC is actively engaged with the City of Vancouver to ensure the process review recommendations are implemented.

We are communicating member feedback to the City to ensure their feedback is reflected and the process is improved.

While the website is a positive step, in the short term, the City is focused primarily on recruitment and training to expedite the permitting process as much as possible.
