Dear BOMA/NY Members,

Congratulations! If you haven’t heard the news, two of our BOMA/NY Pinnacle Award winners also won the Regional TOBY Award at this year’s BOMA Middle Atlantic Region Conference in Hershey, Pennsylvania. As always, I am proud of our local and our members. I am not only proud of the awards, but I am delighted that we continue to raise the bar.

Later in this newsletter, you’ll read comments from an interview I participated in earlier this month. During the interview, I was asked about why I first got involved in BOMA/NY and why I continued to be. As I reflected on those questions afterwards, I realized a huge part of that is you my fellow members, colleagues and industry professionals.

You all bring great ideas and support each other in this changing commercial real estate industry. Never stop thinking outside the box. Continue to provide genuine advice and guidance to new members and professionals when you can. Finally, always do your utmost to support our industry.

I’m excited for the future of BOMA/NY and hope you are, too.

One way to dive into the excitement is to get involved. On May 11, we have an IT Technology seminar. The seminar will open a conversation into how evolving technology is impacting buildings, and features Glen Carolo, one of the most respected real estate technology advisers in the industry.
