Construction Code Revision Volunteer Opportunities

The City will soon begin the next cycle of Construction Codes revisions. In advance, they are seeking volunteers to serve on over a dozen technical advisory committees. These advisory committees will develop and review proposed amendments to the 2014 Construction Codes. By participating on these committees in your area of expertise, you will help decide what code amendments will and will not be included in the next Codes. If interested, you must send in your application by March 30. The application can be found here: committee application.

BOMA International EER Report

Spring is in the air, which means time is running out for you to complete the 2017 Office EER and Industrial EER surveys. Although the survey deadline is only one three days away, the good news is that sharing your property’s data has never been faster or easier. We know property professionals are as busy as bees, so we’ve made sure the online form for each of the surveys takes less than 30 minutes for most respondents to complete.

Your survey participation is essential to helping BOMA International create the industry's most comprehensive and trusted benchmarking resources for the office and industrial sectors. Don't delay: Submit your 2016 year-end income and expense data to the Office EER or Industrial EER survey—depending on the building type you own or manage—by the March 31 deadline.

Sharing your data also comes with benefits to help your building blossom. When you complete a survey, you will:

  • Receive a free Expense Performance Comparison report, which shows how your property compares to its market peers;
  • Gain priority access to the 2017 reportswhen they are released this summer—and receive deep discounts on your subscriptions; and
  • Fulfill a prerequisite for applying for, maintaining or renewing your building’s BOMA 360 designation.
  • Put some spring in your step and start your survey now at eer.boma.org.
