If you’re ready to share your insights and dedication to the commercial real estate profession with our industry’s up-and-comers, then consider adding another dimension to your career credentials -- and enhance your own professional stature -- by guiding your colleagues as an Instructor, teaching your area of expertise for a BOMI RPA or FMA designation.

BOMA/NY is now recruiting committed, accomplished professionals for three faculty positions for the BOMI RPA and FMA designation tracks. We’ve provided the details below, and if you are interested, please contact our Director of Education Mary Sorgente for more information. Mary can be reached at mary@bomany.com or 212-239-3662.

Instructor Requirements

Instructors are needed for the regular 13-week Fall 2015 Semester Classes and our year-long Accelerated Classes. All instructors are financially compensated according to industry guidelines, and you’ll be provided with the teacher’s textbook well in advance.

For those teaching the 13-week semester, your time commitment per class will be 2.5 hours, one night a week at the BOMA/NY headquarters. Accelerated course instructors will be needed for 3 days in succession from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., which makes it an ideal arrangement for a retiree.

To qualify, you’ll need:
  • a college degree is preferred unless replaced by appropriate experience
  • five years in commercial real estate
  • previous teaching experience at a school, union, or college
  • and, you will have to complete the online BOMI Train the Trainer Course
If you want to make a difference in our industry -- there’s no better starting point than working with those who are choosing to go the extra mile, to take classes after a tough day so that they can advance themselves. The satisfaction is personally rewarding, and never grows old.
