It is a legal requirement to have a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) on nearly every active construction project, including detailed records of site inspections and corrective actions. Companies that fail to adequately document and retain the results of their self-inspections and follow-up measures may face enforcement actions and devastating penalties of up to $37,500.00 per day, per violation.
 
The NRCI dropped 3.3 points this quarter to 62.5, thus breaking the short run of solid advance in the previous two quarters. What does this mean?
 
Many states already have laws prohibiting reverse auctions for construction services. However, those laws do not prevent federal agencies from conducting reverse auctions in those states. And federal agencies, like the Departments of Veterans Affairs and the Interior, are increasingly turning to reverse auction procurement for construction services, which include million dollar building renovations, national park road construction, and material supply.
 
Seasonally adjusted construction employment increased in 39 states from July 2013 to July 2014 and decreased in 11 states and the District of Columbia, an AGC analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data released in late August showed.
