You don't want to miss the golf ball drone drop at this year's Construction Scholarship Foundation golf outing. The more golf balls you purchase, the better your chances of winning a trip to your choice of Las Vegas or Reno. Make sure you get your winning numbers today! Winner need not be present to win. Proceeds benefit the Chicagoland Construction Scholarship Foundation.

As your Association, we're here to support your firm, and one way we can do that is by featuring your work on our social media platforms. Do you have photos of technology being used on the jobsite, of diversity and inclusion, or of your company's philanthropy project? Send them our way and we'll give you a shoutout on our social media platforms. Email Hilary Korabik with your firm's favorite photos.

Upcoming Events

Our first Construction Leadership Council event as the Chicagoland AGC is coming up on Thursday, April 12 from 5:30 to 8:00 at Harry Caray's in River North--and you don’t want to miss it! Our CLC is the professional development group for up-and-comers in the commercial construction industry. Back by popular demand, speed-networking is the perfect way to get involved with the merged Association and to learn about the CLC’s 2018 agenda. You’ll have a chance to connect with industry peers and meet some of our distinguished Board members. Cocktails and refreshments will be served. See you April 12th!

Please register online and remember to log in for member pricing. Contact Hilary Korabik for login credentials and sponsorship opportunities.

On April 28th, our Construction Leadership Council is partnering with Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago to refurbish the home of a family in need. Volunteers from member companies Bulley & Andrews, Mortenson Construction, Pepper Construction, and Wight & Company have already signed up. Space is limited, so contact Hilary Korabik today to claim your spot!

It's that time of year again...Safety Stand Down Week is fast approaching! We encourage our members to participate in this year's Stand Down during the week of May 7-11. Last year 7,000 construction industry personnel participated across 400 jobsites, and we look forward to breaking that record during our first year as the merged Chicagoland AGC.

Participation is a great way to boost morale at the beginning of the busy summer season, as the Stand Down allows you to demonstrate your commitment to the safety and well-being of your workforce. Each year the CAGC, in conjunction with the Safety Committee, creates and provides participating companies with an easy-to-implement curriculum covering the year's safety topic, and member companies cease work for approximately 30 minutes to give a training on that topic. This year's topic is worker self-empowerment regarding safety.

Please register your commitment to participate via this link and indicate the person responsible for overall coordination (or forward this email to your safety director to complete).  We will follow up with that individual to ensure a seamless and successful Stand Down Week.

You are cordially invited to our very first Chicagoland AGC Spring Summit on Wednesday, May 16 at Maggiano's in Oak Brook. Registration will begin at 11:30, with the luncheon and program starting at noon. The event will feature a presentation on the importance of company culture in the construction industry, honor this year’s Safety Award winners, and provide an opportunity to network with other industry professionals.

Registration and sponsorship information for our June 27th Scholarship Foundation Golf Outing is now live! The Chicagoland Construction Scholarship Foundation awards renewable scholarships to qualified Chicagoland-area college students earning a construction-focused degree. The Foundation has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to date and plays an integral role in supporting the future workforce.

This is an all-day event, with registration beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:30. We'll kick off the shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. and conclude with a 19th hole barbeque. A day on the links, spent with colleagues and friends, all for a good cause--this is an event you don't want to miss!
