AGC of America is offering a Contractor Development Webinar Series, free to AGC members. The first of nine webinars is on Digitizing Your Field Data, and will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CDT on Thursday, October 19. 

 

Emerging contractors might choose to avoid field automation tools, fearing that they won’t recover the investment, or achieve ROI. This webinar will describe why this shouldn’t be the case, and why they especially should embrace emerging mobile tools to capture critical field data to support their operations.

 

In this case study, we will describe how Turner Construction leveraged a mobile timekeeping solution to capture time direct for their self-perform operations. It will describe the process that was utilized to scope, deploy and test the technology, and how the deployment reduced timekeeping effort and time by nearly 80%, delivering a substantial ROI. It will describe that while automating timekeeping may not appear transformative compared to other emerging technologies, it delivered significant organizational value to Turner that can be easily realized by emerging contractors, with a high chance of success and return on investment.
