The Builders Association CLC will host its final event for 2016 at The Scout (1301 S. Wabash Ave.) on December 1st at 5:30PM. Join us in fulfilling one of the four purposes of the CLC, community service, by bringing a gently used or new coat to donate to Button & Zipper at the door, and then enjoy celebrating a successful year of networking, education, and professional development with fellow CLC members.

Button & Zipper aims to provide as many coats as possible to Chicagoans in need to help keep warm during the city’s long winter months. It has collected and distributed over 6,500 coats since it was founded in 2013. The CLC is proud to support this local nonprofit organization by donating outerwear for men, women, and children.

In its first year, Button & Zipper was able to collect and distribute 845 coats to Chicago’s homeless and at-risk youth. In its second year, it boosted that number to collect and distributed 1,380 coats. Button & Zipper's third year totaled an astounding collection of 4,319 coats.

The CLC extends a warm thank you to member company The Hill Group for its generous support as Truck Sponsor. Personnel from The Hill Group will help collect coats at the event, as well as volunteer a truck to transport the donations to a local Button & Zipper drop-off site.
