Nominations Now Open for the Betty Lou Education Relief Award

The British Columbia Electrical Association (BCEA) is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the Betty Lou Education Relief Award. This special recognition honours the legacy of longtime BCEA board member Betty Lou Pacey, a trailblazer in the electrical industry known for her leadership, philanthropy, and mentorship. Betty Lou was instrumental in the association’s growth and sustainability for decades, inspiring many through her passion, advocacy, and commitment to supporting others in the industry.

The Betty Lou Education Relief Award provides financial assistance to individuals seeking to further their education or pay down existing student loans related to their professional growth in the electrical industry. Eligible nominees must have a minimum of three years of industry experience and have volunteered time to the association or the industry at large. Both BCEA members and non-members are welcome to apply or be nominated.

If you know someone who exemplifies dedication, leadership, and a commitment to the values Betty Lou championed, we encourage you to submit a nomination or invite them to apply. Nomination forms and full award details are available below, and all submissions must be received by November 7, 2025. The recipient will be recognized at the BCEA Holiday Awards Reception on November 28, 2025. For more information or assistance with nominations, please contact support@bcea.bc.ca.

We look forward to celebrating the remarkable individuals who continue to make a positive impact in our industry—just as Betty Lou Pacey did throughout her distinguished career.
