The British Columbia Electrical Association (BCEA) successfully hosted its Annual General Meeting on July 25, 2025, at noon, bringing together members, directors, and executive leaders to review the past year and usher in a new chapter of governance.
Outgoing Chair Tanya Perewernycky opened the meeting with reflections on the association’s achievements and growth and special recognition of our partners, members and volunteer board members. President Will Davis addressed the membership with a report outlining strategic progress and future initiatives. Incoming Chair Brad Ratel shared his vision for continued collaboration and innovation across the electrical sector.
Treasurer Kelly Hanson presented the annual financial review and announced the appointment of an independent accounting firm to conduct the 2025 review engagement. The AGM also saw the re-election of directors: Sean Pacey of BL Lighting and Adam Carnwell of Mac's II Agencies for a second term. Sean and Adam both bring valuable industry insights and energy to the board.
In a moment of appreciation, President Will Davis extended heartfelt thanks to outgoing Past Chair Sumeet Sodhi, Treasurer Kelly Hanson, as well as Directors Jolynne Stein – Eaton and Justine Geboers - Westburne for their dedicated service to the BCEA.

The BCEA Board is still seeking a contractor representative to join the 2025–2026 board. Members who are interested or know of a strong candidate are encouraged to reach out. We will also be conducting a tour of members this year with the goal of recruiting more at-large directors for our board.
The BCEA looks forward to another productive year, guided by a refreshed and dynamic leadership team, with a continued commitment to strengthening the electrical industry throughout British Columbia.
