Congratulations to Teresa Dennison, Continuous Improvement Specialist, Howard County Public Schools.

During the 2014-15 school year, Howard County schools initiated a continuous improvement project called "School Swap" that transfers unwanted materials and supplies, which previously had been disposed of in dumpsters or sold on www.PublicSurplus.org, to other offices and schools that need them. Similar to CraigsList or FreeCycle, this internal system organizes and communicates available items. The entire school system can now post items no longer needed and search for items prior to spending school funds.
