AATA News

The conference offers organizations and educational programs visibility and brand awareness through event marketing, digital platforms, and promotional materials. With 1,000 expected attendees, it’s an opportunity to connect with mental health professionals and build relationships with pioneers in the profession, cutting-edge researchers, institutional decision-makers—as well as the next generation of mental health professionals.

Here are some of our sponsor and exhibit offerings:
♦ Full Conference Sponsorship in Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze packages, which includes an exhibit booth, conference signage and logo placement on the conference website. ($3,500 - $10,000)
♦ Advertise in the Conference Program Guide distributed to all attendees. A full-page ad in color is $900, half-page ad is $750, and quarter page is $500.
♦ Registration Tote Bag Insert. Your printed materials can be added to the tote bag that attendees receive at registration. ($250 - $750)
♦ Ads on the AATA2023 Mobile App. The conference app is the easiest way for attendees to check the agenda and connect with each other. We offer a rotating banner ad space at the bottom of the screen ($750) as well as a full-screen splash page ad ($2,000).

We are excited to host Michael Fogel, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, for a Continuing Education event, Giving Unicorns Wings: Creating Ideal Treatment Conditions and Interventions for Neurodiverse Children, Adolescents, and Adults (with autism, ADHD, and learning differences). This virtual session will be held live on Sept. 23 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. ET.

Did you know that nearly a quarter of the people who enter your treatment room in the U.S. are likely to be neurodiverse and process their experiences differently than their neurotypical counterparts? Join the AATA community for a deep dive into the experiences, needs, and clinical treatment for neurodiverse clients (with autism, ADHD, learning differences, etc.).
As you know, browsing through the vast number of high-quality sessions at the conference can be a little daunting. To make things easier, we’ve simplified the Program Guide by subject.

This year’s AATA conference in San Diego is collaborating with SoCal Safe Shelter Collaborative and California Against Slavery to help survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence and sexual assault. California Against Slavery works together with 22 organizations and agencies to find help and shelter quickly.

The Local Arrangements Committee wants to help by bringing awareness to this issue and also by donating art therapy kits to survivors. They are asking each conference attendee interested in participating to bring a journal of any size and some markers to the conference to donate for this cause.

The conference venue, the Town and Country Resort, has told us that our “room block,” the number of rooms that we reserved for our conference at a special discounted rate, have all been reserved. In conference terms, the room block is full! The hotel is extending our room rate as a courtesy for now — but that’s not guaranteed. If you haven’t yet, please take a moment and book your room ASAP. The hotel also told us there aren’t other accommodations nearby.

If you’re looking for a roommate, please post it in the MyAATA community in this thread.
We cannot wait to enjoy the venue with you.
AATA’s Education Committee is currently looking for new professional members and student members at each level (undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate) to join the committee.

The Education Committee supports the professional identity objectives in AATA’s strategic plan, including developing recommendations and guidelines for education standards and education program accreditation. Committee members meet every other month.

Volunteer your time on this important committee and help shape the future of the Art therapy profession! Check for details in the Committees section in MyAATA.
