On April 26, AATA participated on a panel briefing coordinated by the National Foster Youth Institute (NFYI) to educate Congressional staffers about access to mental health care, including art therapy. The American Music Therapy Association also participated, along with dance and movement therapists and equine therapists. The goal of the briefing was to advance legislation that would increase the availability of tailored mental health care options for foster youth.
