STANDARDS AND CODES
There is still time to join the PHTA-16 Standard for Suction Outlet Fitting Assemblies (SOFAs) for Use in Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs! Standard Writing Committee! The application deadline is next Wednesday, March 1. This standard is the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Standard referenced in the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA). If you're a SOFA manufacturer, Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), or installation professional, we would love to have your expert input!
We are always looking for experts to join the PHTA Standards Consensus Committee! It's important to have a variety of perspectives, such as those from public health officials, architects, engineers, code officials, consultants, and product manufacturers. We review SCC applications on a rolling basis, so fill one out whenever you're ready.
