The Dr. R. Neil Lowry Grant is a $5,000 award that recognizes the individuals and departments who have made outstanding contributions to advance the public’s health and safe use of recreational water in pools, spas, and waterparks through educational, safety, operational, and technical programs. PHTA Strategic Partner Fluidra ended the first six months of the year with record sales of 1,445 million, up 21.8% on the first half of 2021. These solid results were driven by price and the run rate impact of M&A transactions. In terms of geographical areas, growth was led by North America, which delivered a 41% increase in the first half of 2022, boosted by inorganic activity.
Gecko Alliance Group is pleased to announce a significant development in the evolution of its business. A group of investors led by NEXCAP Partners has acquired a majority share in Gecko. This transaction confirms and reinforces Gecko’s position as a world leader in the design and manufacturing of control systems, keyboards, pumps, and accessories for the hot tub industry. The company’s cofounders, Benoit Laflamme and Michel Authier, will continue to be involved in the company’s strategic development. They are both still shareholders, and four key members of the executive committee have also become shareholders in this new venture.
