FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Saltwater pools have become an extremely popular alternative to traditional chlorine pools. In fact, nearly two million salt chlorine generating systems have been installed in the U.S. A saltwater pool requires very little new equipment and it’s easy to convert a traditional chlorine pool to saltwater swimming pool. In fact, you can make the change from a traditional chlorine pool to a saltwater pool in just a day. Salt chlorination is a natural and more convenient sanitization method, as compared with using traditional harsh liquid or solid chemical chlorine. It also cuts your chlorine costs by 50% or more, while providing a continuous supply of fresh, natural chlorine to your pool.

Your family can enjoy the comfort, convenience, and cost savings of saltwater pools with Hayward’s worldwide best-selling AquaRite S3 salt chlorination systems. Our systems automatically convert dissolved salt into just the right amount of chlorine for perfectly sanitized, luxuriously soft pool water.

AquaRite S3 offers all the benefits of silky-smooth water you’d expect from the #1 brand in saltwater pools, along with pool and spa control. Experience softer, silkier pool water that won’t irritate eyes, dry out skin, or fade fabrics. AquaRite S3 offers basic control over salt chlorination, a heater, and a variable-speed pump. Designed to work at salt levels as low as 800 ppm, it requires just one-third the salt of competing systems, creating healthier, cleaner water with less time and money.

INDUSTRY NEWS

The western and southwestern parts of the U.S. are in the midst of a historic drought, causing local water authorities to crack down on water usage. Drought plans will likely impose water use restrictions on pools and hot tubs, even though historically they very rarely result in measurable water savings.

In an effort to mitigate strains on the water supply, the Southern Nevada Water Authority worked with local authorities to change building codes for new residential pools in Las Vegas. The pool industry is facing a battle to change public perception.

Although variable-speed pumps were used in other industries in the 20th century, they only started making inroads into the pool industry in the early 2000s. Eventually, pump industry experts worked with the U.S. Department of Energy to write the Dedicated Purpose Pool Pump (DPPP) Regulations.
