STANDARDS AND CODES
Manufacturers and distributors who place manufactured goods on the market in England, Wales, and Scotland must be ready to use the UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking on January 1, 2022. As of January 1, 2021, manufacturers and distributors who place manufactured goods on the market in Northern Ireland must use the UKNI marking on products – alongside the CE marking if they have undergone mandatory third-party conformity assessment by a UK-based body. For your convenience, IHTA and PHTA have provided several resources, including step-by-step guides.
PHTA Codes staff and members participated in the first meeting of ACI Committee 322, Concrete Pool and Watershape Code, on Monday, October 18. ACI 322 will be a new pool-specific American Concrete Institute document. Committee members include PHTA Senior Manager of Codes & External Standards Nicholas Capezza; Philip Cowles of the C.T. Brannon Corporation; Jonathan Dongell of Pebble Technologies; and Craig Nicholson of Anderson Poolworks. One goal of the Committee is to publish a final document in time for the next ISPSC code cycle so it may be a considered reference.
