It was a great week in Arizona! The Central and Southern Arizona Chapters had an action-packed week. Jason Davidson, PHTA Director of Government Relations, visited both chapters to discuss the area's drought. In Tucson and Phoenix, Jason met with chapter board members and lawmakers from the different municipalities to discuss how the pool industry is a partner in water conservation. In each session, lawmakers were pleased that we approached them with solutions and an understanding of their concerns.

But it wasn't all business. Jason stuck around for the Central Arizona Chapter's golf tournament. Set up at the 9th hole, he had a captive audience as players waited to tee off. Each chapter held a Drought Town Hall. Members had the opportunity to share their ideas and learn what PHTA National is doing to support their efforts on the local levels. Builders, service companies, manufacturers, and suppliers were in attendance. We promoted Let's Pool Together and the need to "pool" resources so the Arizona chapters can continue to educate lawmakers and consumers about the pool industry's role in water conservation.
