CPSA and Water Conservation Plans

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

California Pool & Spa Association (CPSA) has been closely monitoring drought conditions and water conservation plans across the state. On Tuesday, CPSA Government Relations Officer John Norwood testified before the Ventura Board of Supervisors regarding their Level 3 water conservation plan and came away with a partial win for the pool industry. In Ventura County, all pools that currently have a permit or are given a permit by May 31 will be allowed to be filled. Projects that obtain a permit after June 1 will not be able to use county water to fill the pools. However, builders can truck in water.

CPSA and PHTA have prepared a Drought Response Toolkit that includes talking points for addressing city and county officials. Help us spread the word that pools are not water wasters!
