The IRS released a 2-page PDF this week to help employers understand the tax credits that have become available to them in response to the pandemic.

 

The easy-to-follow chart within the PDF breaks down the details of the Employer Retention Credit and the credits for paid sick and family leave. This allows employers to determine whether they are eligible for these credits, the amount that they are eligible for, and which wages apply to these credits.

In Pennsylvania, on June 15, 2020, fifteen House members co-sponsored and introduced a new bill to restrict rent-to-own dealers' use of the state's Theft of Rental Property statute.

APRO is now accepting applications for the Emerging Leaders Council (ELC) 2020 - 22 term. ELC members are volunteer leaders rising in the rent-to-own industry. ELC members help drive new initiatives while the industry continues to adapt and transform.
 
Ultimately, the ELC's commitment is to grow, develop and serve the RTO industry through the use of advocacy, education and relationships.
 
Once chosen, ELC members are placed into volunteer roles throughout the industry in APRO events, as moderators online, and as champions of new ideas.
 
Applications for the ELC are due by July 6, 2020.
