In 2025, USP unveiled a new scholarship program to support the next generation of safety professionals. We are excited to share that the 2026 application period is now open! We encourage students pursuing studies in fields related to utility safety – such as engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, and other relevant disciplines – to apply.
Program details
Each year, two $2,500 scholarships are awarded to Alberta students who not only meet the academic criteria but also exhibit a passion for safety, leadership, and community service. Applicants must be enrolled, or planning to enroll, in an accredited post-secondary institution in Alberta. The awarded funds will be provided directly to the recipient’s educational institution to be applied toward tuition, fees, and other educational expenses.
Applying is easy! Simply fill out the Scholarship Application Form by April 30, 2026, ensuring all information and details are provided. The two selected recipients will be notified by June 30, 2026, and the funds will be applied to the 2026 fall semester.
