Updating Current Contact Information – Ongoing Project

- Denise Burrows, Member Services Clerk, Utility Safety Partners

Hello asset-owner members!  Some of you may have already heard from me recently and some of you may be hearing from me soon.  We are currently updating all our asset-owner members’ contact information and I am sending out current Contact Forms that will show what we currently have for your contact information.  We ask that you either confirm that all the information that we have is correct or fill out a new Schedule C form if there are any changes to your information (the Schedule C form will be included in the e-mail sent to you).

For asset-owner members, it is important to keep your company’s contact information up to date, as this information is used to communicate with your organization, including communication about ticket notifications. Forgetting to update the contact information poses a risk that an asset-owner member is not notified correctly of a locate request notification, which can put the infrastructure and excavator at risk. We may also be unable to reach you regarding any issues or notifications of software changes that would be important information for your company to be aware of.

We can also make temporary changes in our system.  For example, these could be when an employee is taking a vacation or off work for whatever reason.  We can update our system to reflect this, as long as we know what information we need to update and when we should revert the changes.  You can communicate any changes to us when they occur and we can ensure that your tickets and notifications are going to the right place.

The main goal is to ensure that the information we have in our records is as up to date as possible, and without the help from our asset-owner member this wouldn’t be possible. If at any point there are any changes within your company where it may be necessary for us to be notified, we ask that you reach out to let us know so we can make the appropriate updates, or even just to verify the current information we have so it brings you peace of mind that nothing was missed.

We thank you for your attention to this, so we can keep everyone safe and properly notified.
