Ben King, Administrator, Stakeholder Relations - Utility Safety Partners

At USP, we know that damage prevention works best when everyone plays a role. You don’t need to own infrastructure to contribute. Your knowledge, experience, and commitment to safety are just as important. That’s why we invite professionals, associations, and organizations from numerous sectors to join us as Safety Partners.

Becoming a Safety Partner means joining a network of people who care deeply about preventing utility damages and protecting communities. It’s about showing up, sharing what you know, and helping shape the standards, education, and best practices that keep workers and the public safe.

As a member, you can participate in one or more of USP’s working committees focused on best practices, training standards, education and awareness, and government relations. These groups bring together diverse voices from across the province to collaborate, problem-solve, and lead change.

Getting involved is straightforward. Start by filling out a short questionnaire—and from there, you’ll be invited to connect with the committee work that best aligns with your expertise and interests.

Whether you're representing a government agency, an industry association, or bringing your own professional perspective to the table, your contribution matters.
