What an exciting 2015 Annual Meeting!  I know many of us were thrilled to get away from the cold and see a little sunshine. Miami, Turnberry Isle, Fontainebleau, and Trump National Doral couldn’t have done a better job of showcasing the destination and properties.  What tremendous hosts we had...and how could it get any better than private police escorts to expedite our journeys?  We also had so many other meeting sponsors that helped make this meeting such a success.  We are always so grateful for this support as we couldn't do it without each and every one of you!

Sincere thanks also go out to Karen Wesloh and the 2015 Annual Meeting Content Task Force!  They worked extremely hard to put together this terrific program, and it was packed with valuable content and great networking opportunities. The results of the annual meeting survey are just in and the findings are gratifying for the 2015 Task Force.  

A few highlights of those surveyed:

  • 90% found the meeting to meet or exceed expectations
  • 95% plan to utilize the Associate Members relationships and/or their products or services
  • 76% have attended multiple annual meetings (5 to 15+)
  • 78% plan to attend the 2016 meeting

 

Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to complete the survey as all the shared comments are beneficial and appreciated.  Scott Dick and the 2016 Annual Meeting Task Force will use this important information as they begin their planning process.  With 78% already planning to attend in 2016 the survey is invaluable to the Task Force in order to provide programming that continues to meet and stretch the needs of the AMC community.

AMCI had a very busy 2014 and we want to thank all our volunteers & partners whose hard work and dedication helped us accomplish so much as we move our strategic plan forward and AMCI’s primary goal – long-term growth and sustainability for its members.

Just a few of these key highlights are:

  • Development of a new enterprise strategy
  • Design and implementation of a supporting business and marketing plan
  • 265% increase in incremental revenues
  • Task force realignment to support organizational priorities
  • Soft launch of a newly designed website Research-based analysis of key audience priorities, behaviors, and motivators (association executives and volunteer leaders)
  • Research-based analysis of European AMC motivators
  • CAE professional development provider
  • Contracted AMCI Annual Meetings through 2018 with 80%+ sponsorship commitment for each
  • Held first-ever Canada Day education event
  • Elevated Fall Forum learning content by partnering with University of Toronto Rotman School of Business

With all this behind us our journey continues to build momentum as we look forward to these 2015 priorities:

  • Conclude and implement new AMC Visual & Brand Identity with new logo and branding guidelines
  • Re-establish social media presence with focus on building interactive broader industry communities on three key platforms – LinkedIn, Google+, and Twitter
  • Brand positioning and awareness based on key audience survey responses and Board approval of marketing priorities
  • Alignment of marketing messages and content
  • Establish website landing page and grow Body of Knowledge Content Repository
  • Building and Connecting a private, online AMC-only Community of Interest
  • Outreach to Influencers – CPAs, consultants, attorneys including Consultant Best Practices Tools
  • Enhance & develop additional win/win strategic partnerships
  • Hard launch of website to include new visual identity & content focus
  • Completion of Comparative Study of Independently Managed Organizations vs. AMC Managed Associations
  • Pursue partnership opportunities with institutions/instructors of higher learning to bring latest, greatest business education to members to ensure our continued thought leadership knowledge.

We are excited to continue to push the AMC brand and message forward so that all our members garner the benefit of this positioning.  We look forward to working with all our volunteer leaders, our sponsors and seeing everyone throughout 2015.
