The growing concern over the increased spread of Monkeypox in the United States provides an opportunity to address best practices for hotel textile processing and handling. With a focus on protecting workers and providing a safe and comfortable environment for the travel public, ALM and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) have partnered to release our latest best practice document, Monkeypox: Textile Handling Guidelines for Hotels.

  

ImageFIRST is excited to announce the launch of their 2nd Annual HeroesFIRST Contest, which honors outstanding healthcare customers that ImageFIRST associates have the privilege to work with each day.  

This contest recognizes exceptional Healthcare Heroes who go above and beyond to enhance the patient experience. Over the next few weeks, ImageFIRST's Service Team will be nominating their Healthcare Heroes across the country.  

After the nomination period, a panel will select 10 exceptional finalists — two per region — who will be entered into a nationwide vote. The winner of each region will be awarded $1,500 for representing the best in patient experience. 

  

Sadly, Chris Durrant, an independent contractor for KannegiesserETECH from Whitchurch, England, passed away while working on a dryer installation in Massachusetts. The incident is currently under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.

IPA is excited to welcome Todd Curry as the new vice president of finance. Todd will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of all company financial decisions, assure financial reporting accuracy, and serve as a key business partner for the executive leadership team for all strategic decisions of the company. He will also have direct responsibility for driving efficiency improvements along the whole value chain based on a sound understanding of business processes. In addition to overseeing the accounting team, he will have responsibility for IPA’s commercial operations and IT teams.
