Cupron, Inc. (Richmond, Virginia) and Up To Date Laundry have announced an exclusive partnership agreement to offer Cupron Medical Textiles to Up To Date’s healthcare provider customers in Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia. Cupron’s copper linens are continuously active and can provide an extra layer of protection when added to a robust infection prevention protocol. A growing portfolio of peer-reviewed outcomes studies show that replacing regular patient linens with Cupron’s copper linens reduces the incidence of healthcare-associated infections in acute care hospitals.

“We are excited to partner with Up To Date to offer our copper linens in their service areas. Mark and team are top-notch operators and Cupron will continue to add partners in key markets across the country,” said Chris Andrews, CEO of Cupron.

“Healthcare providers are increasingly asking for innovative solutions that help them improve patient safety. We did our due diligence and selected Cupron as our partner in this important initiative,” said Mark Carter, president of Up To Date Laundry

Standard Textile launched Standard Textile Cares and its 80,000-shower goal in November 2020, in honor of the company’s 80-year legacy of inspiring care, comfort and change in communities. Since 1940, Standard Textile has been partnering with organizations to help those in need through product donations, financial support and volunteerism.

Through the Standard Textiles Cares program, the company has donated thousands of bath towels, wash cloths, shower curtains and blankets to organizations offering shower services supporting an estimated 80,200 showers annually.

Standard Textile plans to continue the Standard Textile Cares program throughout 2022. The company’s list of partner organizations has grown to serve areas in 12 states, extending the program’s reach and ability to bring comfort to those in need.

A report ranking companies on their progress in aligning emissions reductions with the 1.5-degree Paris Agreement goal was released on March 3.

The “Road to Zero Emissions: 55 Companies Ranked on Net Zero Progress” report finds a significant number of companies are making progress in measuring and disclosing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and many are setting GHG reduction targets, but the vast majority are not making progress in aligning year-on-year emissions reductions with global 1.5-degree climate goals.

Of the 55 companies ranked, only three companies received an overall “A” grade, one of which is ALM member Ecolab. Well done, Ecolab!
