The new Mastery of Healthcare Linen Management (MHLM) Certification will help lower textile care costs and ensure textile performance and availability for healthcare facilities. With the MHLM, hospitals can drive best practices and cost effectiveness in their facility, while improving processes and delivering an efficient linen management program. This online program allows individuals to gain the knowledge necessary for management roles.

"The MHLM program was educational and interactive. I really enjoyed the interactive aspect of the program, this kept me engaged throughout each section. I would highly recommend this program to anyone that is in a management role in a hospital or healthcare facility."
–
Katrina Gray CLLM, MHLM, Linen Supervisor, Cape Fear Valley Health

The MHLM is suitable for healthcare facility staff at all levels. Materials managers gain insight on effectively managing all aspects of a laundry contract between the hospital and laundry processors, while environmental services staff learn to reduce labor costs and increase opportunities for laundry cost savings. Also, value analysis professionals attain new skills in ensuring products meet clinician and patient needs while providing the best cost-per-use.

It is with immense sadness that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Gevork "Kevin" Minissian. On November 23, 2021, he was fatally shot by a gunman during a neighborhood crime spree in Pasadena, CA. Norchem Corporation, the company Kevin founded, wishes to honor the significant contributions he made as an industry pioneer, respected leader, dear friend, and loving husband and father.

One of Kevin’s passion projects included an active partnership with the California Institute of Technology (CalTech) in Pasadena, CA, where he was participating in an advanced electrochemical project working closely with the Hoffmann Lab. In honor of his ongoing passion for innovation, Norchem Corporation and the families have established the Kevin Minissian Memorial Fund at CalTech. This tribute of gratitude and respect honors his legacy and will support students and their research within the Hoffmann group in the area of water treatment and recycling technologies.

Funeral services will be held on December 23, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. PST at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills. A live webcast will be available (password: Minissian) for those who are unable to attend in person.
