ALM News

If you were unable to join us in person in Greenville, S.C., November 3-5, or virtually November 9-12, you missed what attendees dubbed "mind blowing" knowledge sharing!

As always, IMPACT provided a unique blend of networking, education and excitement for textile care service professionals. Attendees were given the opportunity to learn new skills, exchange ideas and gain insight on topics related to the textile industry.

This year’s conference recognized high-level issues facing the industry, such as challenges in the labor market, automation and navigating an unpredictable supply chain. Each session aimed to support attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to work through these obstacles.

Living in America, most can relate to the fact that we have an opportunity to expand our thinking and create an inclusive culture. In the diversity session from Ricaye Harris, SHRM-SCP, senior director, talent, acquisition and diversity with Milliken & Co., Are You IN(clusive)?, attendees explored some of the biases we have that we didn't know existed and learned how to become consciously inclusive.

As a member benefit, ALM has decided to make Are You IN(clusive)? available in the Resource Library. To view, please sign into your member account on ALMnet.org, then click on Resources, Resource Library.

Many thanks to all our speakers, sponsors and attendees for helping us to provide and joining in all the fantastic education at IMPACT. And a special thank you to our premier sponsor, MIP Inc., who hosted the evening event with a fun photobooth!

The holidays are approaching, and ALM offices will be closed in observance during the following dates:

  • November 25-26, 2021
  • December 24 & 27, 2021
  • December 31, 2021 & January 3, 2022

With heavy hearts, we share that Leonard Reino, husband to ALM Board past-president Judy Reino, and founder of Reino Linen Service Inc., passed away.

Current Board President Richard Bott said, "ALM and our board of directors and staff express our sincere sympathies to Judy and the entire family."

Memorial donations in Leonard's name may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church in Gibsonburg, OH.
