Messe Frankfurt has announced the 2021 Clean Show, scheduled for June in Atlanta, will be postponed due to the continued global impacts of COVID-19. The next Clean Show will be held July 30 through August 2, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia.

After months of strategic conversations with Messe Frankfurt’s global leadership, their partner associations, including ALM, and representatives from key exhibiting groups, the team has decided pushing the date is in the best interest of the industry.

The decision will affect at least the next two Clean Shows, with Clean 2023 also being rescheduled to August 2024 in Orlando, Florida.

With the next Clean Show moving to 2022, ALM leadership is considering alternatives for the next IMPACT to ensure the provision of quality educational opportunities for textile care professionals. ALM is the educational leader for the textile care services industry, and no matter the challenge, we will get the job done, as demonstrated with the recently concluded, hybrid IMPACT 2020 Conference.

“ALM supports Messe Frankfurt’s difficult decision,” said Richard Bott, ALM Board president and CEO of Emerald Textiles. “It’s what is best for the industry as a whole, and ALM is exploring revised dates for IMPACT, our educational conference.”

Further details about the next IMPACT will be announced to ALM members and across our social media channels and website soon.

The full announcement from the Clean Show is available here.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association for Linen Management (ALM) has fielded hundreds of questions from the hospitality industry surrounding issues related to hotel textiles, as well as the safety of laundry and housekeeping employees. In response, ALM assembled a Task Force of subject matter experts to provide guidance on best practices and also partnered with the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) on that group’s Safe Stay Initiative.

American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) President and CEO Chip Rogers welcomed ALM’s expertise in hotel laundry services as travelers begin returning to AHLA member properties. In a recent national survey commissioned by AHLA, travelers overwhelmingly indicated their priorities are on safety, and the joint efforts between AHLA and ALM address those needs.

The holidays are approaching, and ALM offices will be closed in observance during the following dates:

  • November 26-27, 2020
  • December 24-25, 2020
  • December 31, 2020-January 1, 2021
