You can earn your Certified Laundry and Linen Manager (CLLM) in weeks rather than months! The Association for Linen Management (ALM) has CLLM Review sessions scheduled across the U.S. and Canada.  The first program is scheduled for August 23-25th at Standard Textiles in Cincinnati, Ohio. For registration details and other scheduled programs read on….

An outstanding show, great innovations, and forward-thinking educational programs set in a premiere location produced a great CLEAN ’17! We thank the ALM sponsors who help to underwrite the cost associated with the program, the ALM events, and the Member’s Reception.  ALM is one of the few organizations that does not charge a fee for our member event…and we have our wonderful sponsors to thank!

From Our Members

The 77th Annual meeting of the members convened June 4th in Las Vegas amid excitement over new publications, entry into the textile research arena, and an organization on solid footing.  ALM Directors reported on the achievements of the past year and future goals.  “We are proud of ALM’s achievements in education, certification and our first venture into research” notes ALM President Cindy Molko, CLLM, RLLD.  “And it is clear from all the feedback we’ve heard this week from both members and prospects alike that ALM’s contributions are welcomed as an essential element in the future of our industry” added Molko.

This is evidenced by the member’s choice of Judy Reino, MA, M.Ed., President of Reino Linen Service, Inc. as president-elect.  Reino’s expertise in laundry processing and previous role in the corporate world of training and development makes her an excellent future President for ALM.  Reino will serve in the role of Sr. Vice President/President-elect through June 2018 before she steps into the role of President at the end of Molko’s term of office.

The membership re-elected Richard Bott, CLLM, RLLD with Intermountain Central Laundry as Treasurer and Shane Woodson, RLLD, with SourceAmerica as Secretary.  Both gentlemen will serve in their respective roles through June 2020.

Education Is Our Mission

CLEAN 17 featured the premiere of the latest revision to the industries #1 training manual for laundry professionals.  ALM’s 8th Edition of the Essential Guide to Laundry & Linen Management, the training Manual for the CLLM certification program is now available.  “Pre-sales of the book have been incredible and demand is high for participation in the upcoming CLLM review sessions scheduled across the country” said Nathan Rivers, CLLM, RLLD, Board Liaison to the Educational Affairs Committee in his report to the members.

Details on the location and dates for the upcoming Review Programs are being finalized now with the first program scheduled for August 23 – 25, 2017 at Standard Textile in Cincinnati, Ohio
