Continuous education and training are essential in our industry—it’s how we ensure tomorrow’s laundry professionals are fully prepared to meet the demands of the field. ALM’s Laundry & Linen College has long been the premier destination for continuing education, offering in-depth instruction on laundry performance, productivity, management, and safety.
The College offers tailored learning experiences twice a year, with the next session taking place November 3–7. This upcoming session will feature two focused tracks: Textile Care Services and Laundry Processing and Operations. The Textile Care Services track will cover topics such as textile selection, budgeting, and linen and pack room management. The Laundry Processing and Operations track will delve into equipment selection, maintenance and safety, washroom chemistry, and managing productivity—providing participants with a deeper understanding of operational efficiency.
Interactive and hands-on, the College emphasizes small group work and collaborative class projects that help students build lasting professional connections. It’s ideal for individuals seeking a deeper understanding of laundry and linen operations or those pursuing the Registered Laundry and Linen Director (RLLD) certification.
To make this opportunity more accessible, ALM offers scholarships that cover the cost of tuition for one College session. Scholarships are available to current ALM members and are awarded based on financial need, educational goals, and demonstrated involvement in the industry. These scholarships are made possible through our valued partnership and the generosity of Berkshire Hospitality, a company that embodies creativity, integrity, and innovation in everything they do and whose generous support empowers rising professionals in our industry to pursue hands-on education and career advancement without financial barriers.
