Adding one exit ramp from northbound traffic at the Interstate 75/Union Centre interchange and two for southbound motorists leaving the highway is part of a design selected to improve safety. Deciding on a design is the first step to making improvements at the 20-year-old interchange, where traffic on I-75 is projected to increase from today’s 153,360 vehicles to 187,100 per day by 2038. (Cincinnati Enquirer)

The City of Fort Thomas is negotiating with federal officials to purchase 10 Army homes on Alexander Circle behind Tower Park for $510,000, Fort Thomas City Administrator Ron Dill said. Last October, VA officials agreed to allow Fort Thomas to buy the homes before lead paint and asbestos are removed. The cost of removing lead and asbestos up to $510,000 will be refunded to the city as part of the deal. In the meantime, Cincinnati-based developer Bloomfield/Schon + Partners is working on a separate deal to create a development contract with Fort Thomas. The contract will be ready to activate once the city takes ownership of the homes, Dill said. The plan is to fix up the homes and sell them to private hands. (Cincinnati Enquirer)

The University of Dayton will be an anchor tenant in the redeveloped Dayton Arcade if the downtown plans move forward, UD president Eric Spina revealed during his inauguration speech Tuesday. (Dayton Daily News
