Jackie Borchardt of Cleveland.com discusses Governor John Kasich's recently released budget proposal. Kasich has publicly cautioned lawmakers, lobbyists and local business officials for weeks that this budget will have little room for spending increases because state tax revenues have been lower than expected.
Beginning Jan. 3, 2017 the Spirit of Construction Outreach Committee is accepting only electronically filed applications for their 2017 grant funding. The maximum amount of grants allocated each year will not exceed an amount approved by the Spirit of Construction Board of Directors. The average 2015-2016 amount funded per organization was $7,281.
