The Georgia World Congress Center Authority announced April 30 that it has signed a $35-million contract with 360 Architecture of Kansas City, Mo., to design a $1-billion, operable-roof stadium for the Atlanta Falcons. The GWCCA owns and operates the Georgia Dome and other downtown properties.

AIA Georgia would like to make aware to all members that are licensed in the State of Georgia that amendments to O.C.G.A. § 50-36-1 became effective January 1, 2012. This means that Georgia law now requires all applicants for licensure, and all those applying for renewal of an existing license, to submit secure and verifiable documentation with their application. To avoid delays, you must submit a completed, signed and notarized Affidavit of Citizenship along with a copy of your Secure and Verifiable Documentation. Examples of secure and verifiable documents are driver’s license, U.S. passport, or green card.
