AIA San Francisco is pleased to announce "Architecture at Zero," an international open ideas competition with a focus on the specific challenges of creating urban zero net energy buildings. The competition focuses on a large site in the San Francisco Bay Area with a mix of residential, retail and public uses. Up to $25,000 in total prize money will be awarded by a panel of illustrious jurors. This competiton is co-sponsored by AIA East Bay and a dozen other local partners. The "Architecture at Zero" competition is open to students and professionals.

The awards recognize excellence in wood design and construction, as well as innovative projects that showcase wood’s strength, beauty, versatility and cost-effectiveness. The Director of Advocacy provides staff direction for Georgia's architects in legislative and regulatory arenas. In coordination with the Executive Director, Board Advocacy Team Leader, PAC Chair and other volunteer leaders, the Director mobilizes the Association's membership, builds coalitions with related organizations and strategically targets specific issues. In this manner, the Director aims to achieve the profession's goals to protect and improve the business conditions for architects and maintain the profession's leadership in protecting the health and safety of the public. The Director reports to the Executive Director.
