AIA Georgia members from across the state are invited to attend on February 28, 2017. The 2017 Georgia General Assembly Session promises to be very interesting for architects. New legislation has been filed regarding SCAD and licensing and another for structural engineers that affects architects in the State. There will be plenty to report on and a free CE credit to be had!

In 2016, we saw the political world turned upside down. With the election of President – Elect Donald Trump, history was made. Most pundits and political observers were taken by surprise. With a Republican Congress and White House, we are watching closely to determine what this could mean for public policy in Georgia. With 2016 being an election year, there were a number of issues that were not taken up, as they did not play well in election-year politics. Here is a pre-session legislative report we have pulled together to guide you through this legislative season.
