Introducing the AHVAP Mentorship Program: An Exclusive New Member's Only Benefit

Dear AHVAP Members and Partners:

Over the past 7 months, has been working hard on a very important project to advance our specialty, and we are excited to formally release it today. Introducing the AHVAP Mentoring Program!

The AHVAP Mentoring Program is a signature member benefit designed to connect experienced healthcare value analysis professionals with emerging leaders who are seeking to grow their expertise, confidence, and impact within the profession.

Through structured guidance, collaborative learning, and professional networking, this program empowers participants to build lasting relationships, develop critical leadership skills, and advance evidence-based value analysis practices across the healthcare continuum.

The program embodies AHVAP’s commitment to advancing professional excellence, fostering leadership, and strengthening our community through shared knowledge and mentorship. The AHVAP Mentoring Program is an exclusive, member's only benefit of your AHVAP membership and is a $1,500 value.

Each AHVAP Mentor–Mentee pairing is thoughtfully matched based on professional experience, interests, and goals. Over a six-month period, participants engage in guided mentorship conversations, goal-setting activities, and learning opportunities that focus on career development, value analysis best practices, and leadership growth.

Participants receive access to AHVAP’s curated Mentoring Toolkit, which includes conversation prompts, professional development resources, and evidence-based frameworks for success.

Whether you’re new to healthcare value analysis or an established leader, the AHVAP Mentoring Program provides a platform for meaningful connection, personal growth, and professional advancement. The AHVAP Mentoring Program is overseen by a nationally-board Certified, IPEC and Center for Executive Coaching credentialed, coaching professional with expertise in the healthcare industry. The first cohort will kick-off in January immediately after the holiday season.

The Program Requirements for both Mentors and Mentees are:

  • Both Mentor and Mentee must be an active AHVAP member in good standing.
  • Program is open to ALL AHVAP membership classifications. 
  • Commitment to a six-month structured engagement period (with optional renewal).
  • Participation in scheduled check-ins, progress reflections, and feedback surveys.
  • Respect for confidentiality, professionalism, and AHVAP’s Code of Conduct.
  • Mentors must complete a required onboarding training, which will be offered virtually in December 2025 either on December 11 from 3-5 or December 12 from 2-4 pm ET. Details will be provided once your mentor application has been processed and approved.
  • Mentors must hold current CVAHP Board Certification from the AHVAP Certification Center.
  • There is no cost for AHVAP members and this is an exclusive, member’s only benefit.
