Introducing the AHVAP Micro-Volunteering Program!
A New Way to Share Your Expertise, Give Back, and Earn Credit Toward Your CVAHP Recertification
Dear AHVAP Members,
The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP) is excited to announce the launch of our Micro-Volunteering Program—a flexible and rewarding way for members to contribute their expertise, strengthen our professional community, and earn continuing education credits (CEs) toward CVAHP recertification.
🌟 What Is Micro-Volunteering?
Micro-volunteering is designed for busy professionals who want to make a difference but may not have the time for long-term committee service. These are short, project-based opportunities—some as quick as 30 minutes—that allow you to engage with AHVAP on your schedule, from anywhere.
🛠 Types of Opportunities
Examples of micro-volunteering projects include:
- Reviewing and providing feedback on draft AHVAP resources or toolkits
- Contributing case studies or short best practice examples
- Assisting with peer review of articles for the Journal of Healthcare Value Analysis, blog posts, or white papers
- Sharing your expertise as a subject matter expert on micro-surveys or quick consults
- Helping with event preparation or serving as a session moderator at AHVAP events
- Participating in short focus groups on value analysis trends and needs
🎓 Professional Growth and Credit
Every micro-volunteering contribution is tracked and recognized by AHVAP. Members who participate will earn continuing education credits that can be applied toward CVAHP recertification, making this a valuable way to advance your professional goals while giving back.

Getting involved is simple:
- Visit the new AHVAP Circle Micro-Volunteering Group to view current micro-volunteering opportunities. We have created this new dedicated space to highlight these opportunities easily for you as they arise.
- Sign up for projects that fit your interests and schedule—whether it’s a one-time task or a series of quick contributions.
- Complete your project and report your participation through the portal to receive credit. Please note that some projects will require the completion of a non-disclosure and/or conflict of interest disclosure based on the nature of the project.
